A brilliant morning away to CIYMS — crisp air, fast running, big tackles and even bigger grins. Our freshly-freed P7s returned from SEAG exile and wasted absolutely no time getting stuck in. Cooke Minis on the road… never dull.
Huge thanks to CIYMS for the warm welcome, the hot dogs, and the parking puzzle that once again separated the optimists from the realists.
Plenty of great rugby across all age groups: support lines, offloads, defensive grit and the trademark Cooke determination. Parents fuelled by Trait Coffee, coaches fuelled by adrenaline and mild panic — all the ingredients of a top Saturday morning.

P1/2 had a great time with CIYMS today.
TMOTW this was Rowan. Rowan was both a driving force and great support to his team 🙌🏼.
Best of both worlds scoring tries and giving assists. Great listening when we ran back some of the plays too. 💪🏼

P3s five try wonder Arthur was given TMoTW this week! We have a photo of pacing it to try number four!
Playing mainly in a team of four players versus five, the odds were against us… but our class shone through.
Great teamwork, passing to all, some excellent running (mostly forward!) and following up as a wingman to those who broke through the defensive lines.
Very well deserved, keep up the good work Arthur!

P6 Team Mate of the Week is Isla!
Week by week Isla has been making great progress with her skills as she settles into the team in her first season at Cooke.
Today she was a key part of setting up some tries with strong carries!
Also managed to nab her first try at the Blitz a couple of weeks ago! Keep it up!

No TMOTW for P7 due to a misplaced trophy.
The kids (and coaches) were delighted to be back following a 6 week break from contact rugby and 2 week complete break for SEAG (11+).
The teams showed great attacking flair – moving the ball well through the hands in attack.
Defence improved as the morning went along – always good to have some room for improvement.
Great to be back! 💪
