Massive respect to all the Cooke minis (and the equally frozen parents) who survived the cold-and-wet at the Academy’s club’s Castle Grounds this morning. Heroic stuff — penguins might have turned back. 🐧😂 — but a warm welcome from ours hosts, some strong running (FORWARD!) and post match hotdogs maximised the enjoyment.
Reminder of winter essentials for next week: Under-layers, gloves, waterproofs, and a dry set of clothes waiting in the car. Hot drink highly recommended for parents too.

Today he worked hard to support his team in attack and it was great to hear him encouraging his team mates who were struggling with the cold. Was great to see!
